Truly a beautiful game. It's very engaging, trust me. You won't regret buying this.. i find the game really fun. if you dont care about 30fps and looking for a simple rpg look no further.. Pros-Interesting game mechanics that are similar to pikmin.-Creative character design and enjoyable plot.-Hardworking developers actively making the game a better port. (edit: there hasn't been any updates in a few months. I'm hoping the game hasn't been abandoned)-Very nostalgic for me personally, as this was one of my favorite childhood games.Cons-No key customization. wasd to move, arrows for menus, enter and backspace for gameplay mechanics. The lack of this information at the start of the game can be offputting. (as an edit, playing this with an xbox controller is much better.)-Noticeable frame rate drops and occasional glitches/crashes. Be sure to save often!-The combat can be frustrating if you don't know the tricks to beating certain bosses. I found myself looking up guides on a few parts.. It's a shame: I was pretty excited for this game, since I heard it was supposed to be a classic. Between performance issues (with both 30 and 60 fps), sound effects not playing, missed music cues, and 8-direction movement, even on a gamepad...I'll just get the Wii version, thanks.. The game is great. This review is purely related to the port.The devs just had a great idea and called Durante in to help fix the port. Now the game runs smooth and most of the bugs are fixed. Certainly a product you should check out.. major issue is the game crashing allot. like... allot. if not everyday every other day then.heard it's better on console so play it there instead.. I'm not one to write reviews, but this game has had a special place in my heart since the Wii launch. I was hesitant about buying this game because of the reviews, but I haven't had any real issues. I run this game on a laptop. Not a gaming laptop, just a regular laptop with nothing running in the background. I keep the frames at 30fps because that's what the recommended option is. I don't know if I'm just lucky, but I think this is a good port. My only complaint is I wish we could rebind the keys.If you're a fan of the Pikmin or Overlord games and want something with a hint of Harvest Moon to it, I'd highly recommend this game. Play around with the settings if you're having performance issues, but keep the frames at 30fps. Get a refund if you're not satisfied. This game is a lot of fun, has a charming sense of humor, and addictive.. This game is one of the best games, and most underrated titles I've ever played. Do yourself a favor and either buy this on wii or Steam at least to get the story and gameplay.
